Climate Change Poster Series

This was a conceptional series for one of my courses. Our goal was to create a poster series shedding light on a world issue, and combine it with a style from a from a different design movement for each one. Throughout the series you will see different illustrations that focus on a specific aspect of Climate Change.

Suffocate Poster

For this project I created a poster in the flat design style. The message behind the poster is the earth is suffocating on the carbon emissions created by humans. I wanted to convey this message by showing the earth trapped in a plastic bag unable to breathe. I used a red as a way for the text to come off as a warning to the viewer.

Breathe Poster

This poster was created in the victorian design style. I wanted to combine a tree with an oil refinery while still keeping it within the style. To do this I was inspired by Celtic knot and tree of life styles. I wanted to keep the typography light to not take away from the illustration.

Hell on Earth Poster

This poster was the most bizarre of the series. I created it in the psychedelic style to help capture the concept the earth is burning. I wanted to combine elements of the first two posters to help convey the final poster in the series. I chose complimentary colors (excluding black and grey) to play with the eye of the viewer.
